![]() ![]() And more replay things mentioned.Being the child of the family, Dash is, as described by Helen, "a highly competitive boy, and a bit of a showoff". As well that it should have moved on from the supers being illegal. Right away mentions the annoying baby-sitting part of this movie. Incredible's super strength, there is NO way this is a fight at all". If you needed more proof that Disney ruined Pixar, here it is:ĬinemaSins starts off saying "I don't care what these jackhammer-y things are made of, given Mr. Glad to see someone else who found this movie an "incredible" disappointment. There was nothing remotely close to that genius in this movie.Ĭancel culture and bad writing is strong in this one.ĬinemaSins starts off saying "I don't care what these jackhammer-y things are made of, given Mr. That scene was worth the price of the movie itself. My favorite scene in the first movie was with the plane getting shot at with the missiles. Disney pushing the social engineering agenda. Bike splitting thing was silly but apparently many other people think it was cool (another disagreement between me and CinemaSins).ĭrag queen character. At the end of the first movie that's all water under the bridge now.Įlasti-girl's motorcycle scene was pretty cool, probably the only thing I enjoyed. Second worst plot point was the fact they were still illegal as supers. Fighting a raccoon? I'll disagree here with CinemaSins - the fight was just obvious and stupid. They already know Jack-Jack has powers from the first movie. They gave us absolutely nothing to get behind and root for with him. Why doesn't Bob just tell her right away about Dicker? So weak and such an annoyance throughout the film.ĭash does nothing like he did in the first film. When Violet accidentally reveals her identity to Tony this sets her up to spend most of the movie having her "adolescence". Supers are still illegal in this movie, so there was no point to the Underminer scene. Buddy goes bad which sets up the whole Syndrome character into play. Bob is late for his wedding which sets the stage for his "domestic" life. Bomb Voyage gets away which the cops blame on Bob, further alienating the supers. Sandsweet not wanting to be saved, is the trigger point for all the supers to have to go into hiding. Buddy helps cause the train tracks destruction, and along with Mr. Regardless, Bomb Voyage set the stage for the rest of the first movie. He could have helped throw Syndrome off his game. I would have liked to seen Bomb Voyage re-appear at a later point in first movie as well. They did something similar with Bomb Voyage in the first movie but somehow that worked. I was waiting for him to return, for some sort of movie payoff, but it never happened. What does the Underminer do with money? Does he buy those diggers, or does he buy the parts to build those diggers? And then he escapes to never be seen again. How is it that the Underminer can go toe to toe with Mr. I really liked the fact that it picked up exactly where the first movie left off, which doesn't always happen in sequels. If you needed more proof that Disney ruined Pixar, here it is: Seemed like a nostalgia cash grab when all was said and done.Ĭlick to expand.Glad to see someone else who found this movie an "incredible" disappointment. This is one of the worst Pixar sequels there has been. Jack-jack had WAY too much screen time to the point where I was getting bored of the movie. The villain weak in comparison to Syndrome and other Pixar villains. Dash was annoying as fuck and totally unlikeable. ![]() Bob seemed like he hated his family and barely got any scenes that weren't with Jack-Jack. Bob and Dash were totally different characters. IT just seemed like the movie was confused as to what point it wanted to make and ended up not going deep enough into any of them. Was it about the inadequacy of laws and politicians? Well, aside from a few comments, the movie walked away from that. Was it about women going out into the work force? Even Elastigirl laughed that off in one scene. Was it about gender confusion and how it is difficult for men to become stay-at-home husbands after being the breadwinner? Pixar sure didn't comment on that. Was it about discrimination against Supers? Cause I didn't really feel that. The movie seemed to have no thematic direction. Aside from some really well-shot action scenes and color palettes (specifically the chase scene with the Telecaster), the movie pretty much sucked. ![]()
