![]() ![]() He has attempted to obtain proof of successfully completing Jerico but for reasons that seem personal (his leaving his employment position abruptly),he has been denied proof of completion. This individual is continuing the path of building a successful life by seeking employment that will advance his future, but as with most Jerico Project clients, his background check creates a hurdle that can stop or slow down the process of advancing. There is no doubt that his success is largely due to his experience at the Jerico Project and his story is like the many other Jerico success stories I've known of in my career as a treatment provider. He obtained employment in our local community, he is a wonderful father and dedicated family man, he is clean and sober and crime free. Because of my experience with your program I feel compelled to assist an individual who successfully completed the Jerico Project (The Ranch), became an employee for a short period of time and has since moved forward by building a life with his fiance and son. I'm a SUD counselor and over the years I've seen many clients obtain success though the Jerico Project. Please help him, where so many, including myself have failed him. Although I do not believe he will ever have a completely 'normal' life, I do believe he could have a good and hopeful future with the right help. I am afraid that I am going to lose my child in the system or worse yet, he'll end up dead. Either programs cost beyond our means, are too crowded, or he leaves after his initial intake. ![]() We have attempted to seek help for him multiple times in the past, to no avail. And I say boy, because although 25 he has the mind set of a teenager and believes in conspiracy theories and other outrageous stories. Although he has committed these atrocious acts, he is genuinely a loving, kind, and intelligent boy. As we believe prison/jail is not an effective solution for him. We are working with his attorney to have him committed. He's facing his first strike and a hefty sentence. While on probation he committed felony burglary. My son is a 25 yr old, homeless, meth addict with mental health issues. ![]()
